Abigail Ramos Vivo is an elementary school teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District. She is currently a graduate Student at California State University at Long Beach in the Social and Cultural Analysis of Education Program. She anticipates receiving her Master of Arts Degree in May 2010, and is a candidate for graduating with the highest honors (Summa Cum Laude).

Abigail received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Liberal Studies (Elementary School Education) along with her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from California State University at Long Beach in 2007. During her undergraduate studies, she was a part of the Pilipino American Coalition and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. She also did community work through the Justice for Filipino American Veterans Steering Committee which advocates justice and equity for Filipino Veterans, and the People’s Core (PCORE) of Los Angeles which advocates for community issues.

Abigail is also a Sister of Kappa Psi Epsilon, a Filipina-based sorority at CSULB, and served as Community Action Chair (2006-2007), Cultural Education Chair (2007), and “Alpha Chapter” President (2007-2008). She currently serves as Alumni for Kappa Psi Epsilon, and is often featured as a guest speaker during career panels and symposiums.
