Linda Sarno

Linda SarnoMaria Erlinda (Linda) C. Sarno is a registered US Patent Attorney and a chemist. As a chemist, she held various supervisory or managerial positions but she takes more pride in her accomplishments such as being one of the core employees who started the Diagnostic Division of Nichols Institute and being one of the first scientists to implement an FDA approved Ultrafiltration process in the fractionation of human plasma in the US while employed at Baxter Healthcare Corporation. She holds patents for new process technologies and has introduced several new products into the market. She was awarded the first Dave Winchell Patent Award by Baxter for the patent with the most significant business impact in the corporation.

In her second career as a Patent and Trademark attorney, she focuses her practice in serving small businesses and independent inventors who may have budget constraints in acquiring protection for their intellectual property rights.

From her school days, Linda has always been a student leader and has been awarded by her schools for her campus leadership. She always volunteers her time on activities that she considers worthwhile but always remembers to put her family first. She is proud of her children, Lynnette, now a successful practicing corporate attorney in New York specializing in Employment Law; Michael, a probation agent for the State of California; and, Albert who is pursuing a degree in Business Entrepreneurship at CalPoly Pomona while at the same time managing his specialty store at Pomona Promenade and making his name as a DJ both here in California and other states. She is a board member, officer, council member or adviser of various religious, social, local and national business organizations and government agencies. She is a recipient of numerous awards and recognition both for her scientific achievements and for her civic involvement in the community, especially in advocating for the cause of small business owners.

Academically, she graduated top of her class in Chemistry from the University of Santo Tomas with magna cum laude honors; summa cum laude honors with a GPA of 4.0 from the California State University of Long Beach; and finished her law degree with Cum Laude honors and as Technical Editor of the WSU Law Review from Western State University.
