Donate to “Fil-Am Scholar of the Year” Scholarship

September 27, 2016 by Edwin Baloloy

We all remember the time when we were in college: high energy, high enthusiasm, and low on funds. Especially for the students who are currently on financial aid, working a part-time job, or on a student loan, every bit can make the difference in helping them achieve their breakthrough and help them become one of tomorrow’s leaders in the community.

Today's students will be tomorrow's leaders.
Today’s students will be tomorrow’s leaders.

There are (3) ways to contribute toward the award winner:

  1. Donate with credit card in $20 increments. Select the menu option “Contribution to Fil-Am scholar of the year” and select how many $20 donations you’d like to give. Online credit card payments are preferred, but checks can be accepted on the day of the event. Email us at info@faccoc.com if your company requires an invoice.
  2. Donate a silent auction or raffle prize. 100% of the proceeds will go toward the fund. A silent auction prize is usually an attractive item or service that guests would be willing to bid. Examples include: 18 holes of golf at a desired golf club, a weekend getaway for 2, dining certificate, etc. Raffle prizes are usually items that are lower in value or with less appeal. Please send an email to info@faccoc.com if you have a prize. Please place “silent auction” in the subject line.
  3. Sponsor a nominee. Most students cannot afford the price of attending our GALA. As much as FACCOC would like to “comp” all students, the cost of having an event and dinner at an attractive venue doesn’t allow us this luxury. We feel it would be a “win-win” for a business owner or corporate representative to give back to their Alma Mater and be the one personally presenting the nominee for the evening.
