Frequently Asked Questions

No. We encourage other ethnicities to join FACCOC. Our membership is close to 50% of non-Filipino members and we believe diversity will continue to give our members and guests the best connections for their respective businesses. Non-Filipinos are also welcome to become an ambassador or board member.

Although our setting is an event and workshop setting for gathering like-minded individuals and companies, we do have Mission Statement.

Guests are welcome to attend all events and pay the guest price. There is no limit currently on how often a guest can attend. However, it will be significantly more expensive and guests are not allowed certain activities such as signing up as a featured speaker or certain matchmaking opportunities.

Just like any segment of the population, this group isn’t for everyone. People will usually do business with people that they’ve established trust and rapport with. Rapport often takes more than just handing out a business card once. The most successful businesses within our Chamber attend multiple events and have offline meetings outside of the events.

The amount of attendees vary drastically and quantity doesn’t always equal quality. Our largest attended events are our signature events such as our Green Expo, GALA Awards Night, Secrets to Success, and Charity Golf Tournament. They will usually have 75 or more in attendance. Our mixers usually have 40-60 attendees. The most intimate settings are our Networking Lunches and Workshops as they are most structured and focused. Those are groups of 20-35 attendees.

With over 24 years in the community, FACCOC has contributed to numerous causes and has donated thousands to nearby charities such as Center of Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders. We’ve hosted fund raisers and given thousands for scholarships. However, keep in mind that this is a 501(c)(6) organization where its main goals are those of a Chamber. There are plenty of nearby charity organizations who have more experience and can make a larger impact with their connections and resources.
